Helping young people and their families

 

Our passion is helping young people and their families through their education.

 

Social isolation has the potential to have life-long consequences on the confidence, mental health and emotional wellbeing of young people and consequently their educational and employment success and life chances.

 

The Ladder Group works in partnership with community organisations, registered charities and health professionals to provide qualified, professionally registered and experienced social, emotional and mental health support. Our aim is to provide wellbeing, emotional and counselling support, online and face to face, for the young people and families in our community.

Our offer to help communities post-Covid includes:

Filling Out Form

Emotional support, mentoring & counselling for:

  • young people throughout their educational life

  • for family members, including group workshops as well as time for individuals.

  • for educational professionals who are supporting young people or their colleagues in challenging circumstances.

 

Training to support:

  • the development of emotional resilience and coping strategies that deal with emotional and stressful circumstances, like lockdown.

  • children, young people and their families understand the importance of self-care and how to look after themselves and each other.

 

We offer a professional, confidential and safe space to explore, understand and accommodate difficult emotions, make sense of experiences and help to develop coping strategies. Our team are experienced at supporting issues such as:

  • low self-esteem

  • anxiety and low mood

  • bullying

  • loss and bereavement

  • physical and emotional issues

  • relationship difficulties

  • sexuality

  • loneliness

  • school, exam and social media pressures

  • phobias.
